lately, my classic soul is coming back
i spent my last weekend downloading astrud gilberto's, led zeppelin's, beatles's and beach boys's. i'm so into those songs since the weather lately has been gloomy and cold. they just captured my mood perfectly.
from all the songs that i've downloaded, there are 3 songs that really struck my heart. Julia by the Beatles, if the sun refused to shine by led zeppelin and Caroline No by the Beach Boys. but my favourite of all is Caroline No. ehhmm.. no, i think i like Julia better, but..
anywaayy.. Caroline No and Julia are SUPERB!
it's not because of the lyrics, but the perfectly made arrangements and those feelings that are shown when the singers sang that song years ago.
usually, i listen to certain songs according to my mood, but those 2 songs created their own dimension and controlled my mood. whether i feel extremely happy or plain, Caroline No swings my mood upside down and makes me feel as painful and fragile as a person who feels that his lover starts to lose all the feelings. and Julia also speaks for me, speaking about how bad i want to reach my loved one..
i will never know what happened inside brian wilson and john lennon's head when they wrote those songs, but they sure know what happened inside my heart when i was on my knees, praising for them..
all of my words would be meaningless if you never heard the actual songs
really guys, you have to listen to those two songs at least once in a lifetime!
